NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing held by the City of Stanton Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. This meeting is scheduled to occur electronically. Please visit www.stantononline.com for information on how to participate.
Reason for Electronic Meeting
To mitigate the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), protect the public health, and provide essential protections to vulnerable persons, it is imperative that all persons take steps to limit in-person contact. These critical mitigation measures include social distancing and limiting the number of people interacting at public gatherings. The City of STANTON must continue to conduct public business, including actions to respond to COVID-19, and the general public must be able to continue to participate in government decision making without unduly compromising public health, safety and welfare.

The City of Stanton Planning Commissions will hold an electronic public hearing for the purpose of soliciting public comments on the following two ordinances being considered for adoption.
- An Ordinance: to allow medical marihuana facilities in the City of Stanton as permitted by the Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act, PA 281 of 2016; to establish procedures for application for medical marihuana facilities; to establish procedures for review of medical marihuana facilities; to establish operational, land use, and zoning requirements for medical marihuana facilities.
- An Ordinance: to allow for the regulation of commercial adult use marihuana establishments and licenses as permitted by the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act of 2018; to establish procedures for application for adult use marihuana establishments and licenses; to establish procedures for review of adult use marihuana establishments and licenses; to establish operational, land use, and zoning requirements for adult use marihuana establishments and licenses.
