Laborer/Equipment Operator
The City of Stanton’s Public Works Department is seeking applicants for temporary/seasonal help. The position is up to 30 hours per week from approximately May 1st to November 30th. Responsibilities would include, but not limited to: mowing, weed whacking, park maintenance, assisting DPW staff on various projects, painting. Regular shift hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, schedule is flexible. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years of age at the time of application, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; must have some experience operating lawn mowing equipment, pickup trucks, tractors, and power tools. Must possess a great work ethic and customer service skills.
The minimum pay offered for this position is $14 per hour with paid sick time, no fringe benefits. The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment background check, as well as a post-offer medical physical and drug screen.
