NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR MICHIGAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDING FOR HOMEOWNER REHAB
The City of Stanton will conduct a public hearing on July 8, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Stanton City Hall, 225 S Camburn St. Stanton, MI 48888, for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a CDBG grant.
The City of Stanton proposes to use CDBG grant funds in the amount of $400,000 for homeowner rehabilitation projects, including interior and exterior improvements, within the city limits and $72,000 in administration costs, for a total of $472,000. Eligible homeowners could be awarded up to $10,000. All activities, upon completion, will benefit low – to moderate – income households.

Comments may be submitted in writing through July 7, 2025, or made in person at the public hearing.
The City of Stanton is pleased to report that it successfully met all compliance requirements for its most recent Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, funded by the State of Michigan. A monitoring review conducted in February 2022, for the Infrastructure Improvements project, found no significant compliance problems, findings, or areas of concern.
Citizen views and comments on the proposed application are welcome. The proposed submittal date of the application is July 11, 2025.
