Overview
The City of Stanton Police Department wishes to inform everyone of the City of Stanton Curfew Ordinance #189. The city ordinance prohibits minors under the age of seventeen (17) years from loiter, idle, or congregate in or on any public street, highway, alley, park private property open to the public between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., April 1st – October 31st and between 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., November 1st – March 31st.
Exceptions
- Accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Involved in an emergency
- At work or in the process of going to or coming from home or work
- On an errand or other legitimate business directed by a parent or guardian
- Going to, attending, or coming home from a supervised school, church, or recreational activity
Violations of this the curfew ordinance may lead to a fine and/or court appearance.
