Sale of Used Municipal Lawn Mowers

The City of Stanton is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following used municipal lawn mowers:

1. 2007 Gravely 260Z
   • 60-inch mower deck
   • Used for municipal purposes
   • Unknown hours
   • Kawasaki FX1000V
   • Sold as-is
2. 2008 Cub Cadet Tank
   • 72-inch mower deck
   • Used for municipal purposes
   • 248.9 hours
   • Kawasaki 25.0
   • Sold as-is

The equipment may show wear consistent with municipal use. No warranties are expressed or implied. Interested parties are encouraged to inspect the equipment prior to submitting a bid.

Sealed bids must clearly indicate: “Lawn Mower Bid”

Bids shall include:

• Bid amount

Bids will be accepted until May 28, 2026, at 12 PM. Bids received after this deadline will not be considered.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bidding process if deemed in the best interest of the City.

West Main Street is currently closed from Cemetery Street to North State Street while first responders and utility crews work the scene.

Please avoid the area and allow crews room to operate safely.

If you should encounter discolored water, we recommend that you run your COLD water taps within your home or business. Flushing fire hydrants and water mains provide several benefits to the water users of our system. Regular flushing allows for the highest quality of water to be delivered to our customers. Flushing also allows the staff of the Water Department to verify operation of the fire hydrants and identify areas of the distribution system that require repair and/or maintenance. This also ensures that the fire hydrants are ready should the Fire Department need them.

The City of Stanton is now accepting bids for sidewalk installation, removal and replacement. Work is to begin after July 1, 2026, and commence by October 31, 2026.

Bids must be submitted by May 22, 2026, at 4 PM.

The City of Stanton is now accepting bids for 2026 septic tank cleaning. There is a total of 113 1,000-gallon tanks that were last pumped in 2023/24.

Pumping shall begin this spring after lawn/driveway conditions are acceptable and follow the time frame below.

• 45 tanks pumped prior to June 30, 2026
• 68 tanks pumped after July 1, 2026

Bids must include the following:

• Cost per 1,000-gallon tank
• Cost for 45 1,000-gallons tanks
• Cost for 68 1,000-gallon tanks
• Proof of liability insurance
• Completed W-9 form
